We recently caught a south wind. Barbara, one half of North Wind Heritage Consulting, has accepted a position as Director of the Kauri Museum in New Zealand/Aotearoa. The museum is an exciting one, having started a transition from a traditional settlers’ museum to one that focuses on the amazing story of New Zealand’s indigenous Kauri Tree. The museum tells stories of the tree itself, the local settlers and their history with the Kauri, and its modern relevance.
As such, North Wind Heritage Consulting has relocated to Matakohe in New Zealand/Aotearoa. We still offer the same amazing virtual training sessions and historical presentation, and continue to consult in Canada’s heritage and museum community. We hope we can soon start expanding our offerings for New Zealand and Australia’s heritage community as well.
